Terms of Use
Effective August 27, 2026 · Corefinder, a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia, operating as ClaimShift
These terms govern your use of ClaimShift, operated by Corefinder, a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
1.What the service is
ClaimShift maps British Columbia mineral tenures using data published by the Province, summarizes public ARIS assessment reports filed against those tenures, and lets tenure holders list ground they are willing to option, lease, joint venture or sell.
2.The registry is authoritative, not us
This is the most important clause on the page. Tenure boundaries, holder names and good-standing dates are copied from provincial sources on a delay and may be out of date, incomplete, or wrong. Mineral Titles Online is the authoritative record. Verify anything there before you act on it. Do not rely on an expiry date shown here to decide when to stake, when to file assessment work, or when a tenure will become available.
3.Report summaries are machine-generated
Exploration summaries, target minerals and drill intercepts shown on this site are extracted from historic assessment reports by an automated language model. They may be incomplete or inaccurate, and historic results were produced under standards and quality-control practices that differ from current ones.
Every summary links to the original report. The original is the record; our summary is a pointer to it. Read the source before relying on any number, and tell us if you find an error — we correct them.
Where our matching cannot confirm that a report describes a particular tenure, we do not display that report’s figures against it.
4.Holding a tenure is not permission to work it
A mineral tenure grants rights to the mineral title. It does not by itself authorize physical exploration. Mechanical work generally requires a permit under the Mines Act, and that process involves consultation with affected First Nations regardless of when the tenure was registered. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting that acquiring an existing tenure avoids, shortens or substitutes for any regulatory or consultation requirement.
5.Not professional advice
Nothing here is legal, geological, engineering, investment or securities advice, and nothing here is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any security. Rankings and scores shown on the site measure how much documented work exists in the public record. They are not valuations, resource or reserve estimates, or opinions on whether ground is prospective. No figure on this site is prepared under National Instrument 43-101, and no qualified person has reviewed it.
Get your own qualified advice before making a decision.
6.Listings
A tenure appears as available only where its holder has submitted it and we have confirmed they are the recorded holder. If you submit a listing, you represent that you hold the tenure or are authorized to act for the holder, and that what you tell us is true.
We are an introduction service. We are not a party to any option, lease, joint venture or sale, we are not agents or brokers for either side, we do not hold funds, and we do not verify the commercial claims parties make to each other. Do your own diligence and use your own counsel. You may withdraw a listing at any time.
7.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, bulk-extract, or systematically copy the site’s contents, or redistribute or resell them as a dataset;
- compile, enrich or sell information about tenure holders, or use anything from this site to send unsolicited commercial messages;
- misrepresent that you hold a tenure, or list ground you are not authorized to list;
- interfere with the service, or attempt to access parts of it you are not authorized to.
The provincial data underlying this site has its own licence terms, and your use of it is subject to them.
8.Intellectual property
Mineral tenure data is published by the Province of British Columbia under its open data licence, and assessment reports are Crown-published documents. We claim no ownership of either. Our compilation, summaries, rankings, design and code are ours, and you may not reproduce them at scale without permission.
9.No warranty
The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. We may change or discontinue any part of it.
10.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Corefinder, a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or ground you did not acquire, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $100 if you paid us nothing.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11.Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, or anything you submit to us — including a listing for ground you were not authorized to list.
12.Suspension
We may suspend or remove access, or take down a listing, where we believe these terms have been breached. Where we can, we will say why.
13.Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when the current version took effect, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
14.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction.
